•  Introduction of WASH in schools: PIEDAR's Program on Environmental Education through Participatory Learning (EEPAL) is introducing WASH in schools through lectures, various demonstrations to students including hand washing practices and teacher training workshops.

•  Participation in the World Water Day, March 22, 04: PIEDAR celebrated the World Water Day on March 22, 2004 in collaboration with WSSCC. At the event a new publication of the WSSCC titled “Learning” was officially launched by Dr. Darren Saywell. Teachers and principals of 11 EEPAL member schools also attended the function along with other participants. Students presented skits on water conservation, sanitation and hygiene for better health.

•  URDU translation of WASH Material is complete and the translated material is currently being printed.
